It is among the world’s top 10 credit card operators, administrating 56 million credit cards worldwide.The consumer financing area, which occupies a leading position in Brazil’s credit card segment, offers a generous portfolio of products for 23 million account-holding and non-account holding clients. Its operation involves the management of the entire credit card cycle (commercial strategy, distribution and sales, products, portfolio management, service, credit, collection and operation). Its greatest challenge: to become a standard in terms of results, price, credit and quality of service.

The consumer financing area, which occupies a leading position in Brazil’s credit card segment, offers a generous portfolio of products for 23 million account-holding and non-account holding clients. Its operation involves the management of the entire credit card cycle (commercial strategy, distribution and sales, products, portfolio management, service, credit, collection and operation). Its greatest challenge: to become a standard in terms of results, price, credit and quality of service.

Wealth Management & Services

Wealth Management & Services combines the areas of Private Banking, Asset Management, Brokerage, Individual Client Investment Products, Capital Market Services, Internal Controls and Compliance, as well as institutional and overseas client channels. Itaú Asset Management is Brazil’s largest private asset manager for institutional clients, with over R$ 250 billion in assets. In 2010, we were the first Latin American bank to open an asset management firm in Asia: Itaú Japan Asset Management. The private bank confirmed its position of prominence as the domestic market’s leading bank, with US$ 71.3 billion in assets under its management at the end of December 2010. It is present in the main financial markets, with offices in 9 countries. In 2011, Itaú International Private Bank had 5,700 Latin American clients with US$ 14.5 billion in assets under its management. Recognitions: The best private bank in Brazil, the best private bank in Peru and one of the top 4 private banks in Latin America, according to Euromoney Magazine.

Insurance, Retirement Funds and Capitalization

Itaú Unibanco is the insurance market’s leading bank, with individual life insurance and extended guarantee products standing out in the individual client segment; and group life insurance and corporate solutions in the business client segment. The area’s income volume reached the equivalent of R$ 5.61 billion in 2010, and the technical provisions of insurance, retirement funds and capitalization totaled 60.7 totalled.

Investment Bank
Itaú Investment Bank works with companies seeking funding through equity (variable income) and debt (fixed income) instruments in the public and private capital markets in Brazil and abroad, and facilitates strategic transactions through advisory services for mergers and acquisitions.
We develop close and comprehensive relationships with our clients, advising national and international institutional investors in the analysis of variable and fixed-income instruments issued by Latin American companies.
We carry out these activities through a worldwide brokerage network.

Institutional Treasury
The Institutional Treasury provides services to the entire conglomerate and is also an important profit center for the institution. Our focus is on ensuring the viability of operations for the bank’s clients through managing and absorbing their risks. The area is responsible for overseeing the bank’s liquidity; establishing the price bases for the wholesale, retail and capital market areas; generating results through the active administration of market risks; structuring and carrying out the conglomerate’s capital raising; and furnishing the macroeconomic research used in the bank.
