Itaú Unibanco Delivers Annualized ROE of 22.5%

Itaú Unibanco generated recurring net income of $2.1 billion in the third quarter of 2011, yielding an annualized return on equity of 22.5%. In the first nine months of 2011, the bank's net income totaled $5.9 billion, 16% higher than for the same period in 2010, while its total assets grew by 11.5%, to $451.3 billion. With a market value of $70.8 billion, Itaú Unibanco is now the ninth-largest bank in the world.*
